A winter weekend of Mindfulness practice
“Leave your front door and your back door open.
Allow your thoughts to come and go. Just don’t serve them tea.”
Welcome to an experiential weekend course that will teach, inspire and support you in building an everyday Mindfulness practice, both on the sitting cushion, in a movement and breath practice, and out in the world. Set the tone for a fresh start to 2019.
“Mindfulness is a natural human ability to be present and aware of where you are and what you are doing or thinking in any given moment and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what is happening around you."
We will train in cultivating a non-judgmental and accepting awareness towards thoughts, feelings, senses and body sensations that arise from moment to moment. From this more relaxed and present state of being, we can begin to meet other people in a more open and empathetic way.
We will work with various aspects of the mindfulness practice including movement, breath, inner exercises, sitting in stillness and meditative inquiry throughout the weekend.
The teachings are based on Ateeka’s experience with sensitive yogaSOMATICS practice and Ola’s own meditation experience and from teachings he has received from the Vaekstcenteret in Denmark over the last 20 years.
The course will be practice-oriented with an opportunity for questions and answers.
We will explore:
a meditative way of touching into the body and breath
creating balance in your everyday life
integration of the Mindfulness practices in your daily life
Mindfulness is for everybody. No experience is required . . . just an open mind and curiosity to explore this practice. This weekend is open to adults from all walks of life. Those who are new to the practice will learn new tools and those with some experience will enjoy new inspiration and practice days.
