MORNING
BREATH LIKE THE OCEAN - BODY LIKE A WAVE

This is a practice oriented workshop about the healing and regenerative nature of your very own fluid body. This workshop is for YOU if you LOVE water and the movement of water.
YogaSOMATICS offers gentle, sensory-oriented movement practices that invite you to experience this fluid element directly, through felt sense rather than effort or form.
In this workshop, we will work with soft & gentle yogaSOMATICS movement, lovely and enjoyable myofascial unwinding, natural breath practices, guided visualisation and deep relaxation. All of these practices to help gently open our felt sense towards our inner fluid intelligence . . . where flow is more powerful than force.
Beneath the skin, our fluid matrix includes the ever-changing myofascial field, the craniosacral fluid surrounding the spine and brain, the lymphatic network, blood, intercellular fluids, and more. This inner fluid system resonates with the waters of the Earth and the greater fluid movements of the cosmos. Let us move and flow and be with the nature of the fluid.
This workshop is open to all adults who are curious about the movement of life energy through their bodies.
AFTERNOON
SOMATIC BODYWORK: A Practice for Peace

SOMATIC BODYWORK, develped by Ateeka, is a modern approach to well-being that uses touch, gentle movement, awareness of breath, relaxation techniques and full body holding. This quiet, consentual approach to healing creates a safe container for humans to receive touch, to relax more deeply into themselves. The natural regenerative powers of one s own body are stimulated, allowing vitality and self-awareness to grow.
In this afternoon workshop, we set the tone of "being with" another, rather than "doing something to" another. Our touch and healing becomes an expression of listening, respect, empathy and kindness.
You will learn a beautiful and simple bodywork practice for grounding and balance to share with a partner. You will both give and receive gentle healing touch for 45-50 minutes each.
You can come with a friend/partner or work with another participant in the workshop. Our touch practices are fully-clothed, relaxing on your mat on the floor and consent-informed.
WHO IS THIS PRACTICE DAY FOR?
Humans of all practice experience levels are welcome to this grounding, relaxing and non-demanding practice day. Previous yoga, touch or meditation is not required and even beginners are very welcome and will find the practice to be accessible and sensory oriented! Experienced yoga practitioners and teachers may find this class to be inspiring, supporting and a good way to simply give a “treat” of practice to themselves.
