What is the difference between extra virgin coconut oil and fractionated coconut oil?
The main difference between fractionated (FCO) and unfractionated coconut oil is that fractionated coconut oil does not contain long-chain triglycerides, whereas unfractionated coconut oil contains long-chain triglycerides. Furthermore, the long-chain triglycerides are removed from fractionated coconut oil through hydrolysis and steam distillation. Moreover, fractionated coconut oil is a saturated oil with a very long shelf life while unfractionated coconut oil is an unsaturated oil with a comparatively short shelf life.
Fractionated and unfractionated coconut oil are two of the many types of coconut oils. They show different properties based on the structure of their triglyceride types.
Wintergreen Essential Oil
Gaultheria fragrantissima
From the beautiful mountainsides of Nepal, Wintergreen essential oil has a powerful warming, soothing sensation that pairs perfectly with massage. Additionally, its sweet, minty aroma is potent and refreshing.
Wintergreen oil is known for its unique warming effect on the skin due to methyl salicylate, which is the main chemical constituent of Wintergreen oil. This is what Wintergreen is most commonly used for, but its aroma also offers great benefits. Its strong scent creates a stimulating environment and helps clear out unpleasant odors.
