100% Pure Pashmina Meditation Shawls in an abundant sizing (250 cm x 150 cm) hand woven in natural colors with hand embroidered mantra on each corner.
Each super soft and super light shawl takes 7 days to weave by hand and 3 days to embroider on the mantra in Jaipur region of India. They are woven in "diamond weave" pattern which allows for even more warmth while they remain very very light in weight.
We have chosen to keep the shawls in mostly natural colors of natural white and natural beige, but if you have a custom color request, that can also be accommodated with some extra time.
The mantras (prayers) on the shawl corners are: AUM, the impulse of all creation and OM MANI PADME HUM " The Jewel In the Heart of the Lotus". Tibetan Buddhists believe that saying the mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum, out loud or silently to oneself, invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. Viewing the written form of the mantra is said to have the same effect.
The embroidery is generally tone-on-tone (nearly same color as the shawl)unless you have a custom request.
These are really one of a kind items and with simple care, will stay with you for decades.
